Nuclear Medicine Technology

Nuclear Medicine Technology

Get the education needed to be a nuclear medicine technologist, and begin a rewarding career in health care.

Program Details

Nuclear Medicine Technology is a specialty within radiology that uses radioactive materials to make diagnostic images of nearly every system within the body. It has the ability to demonstrate function where many other areas of radiology often show only structure. Nuclear medicine technologists operate highly sophisticated equipment to help doctors diagnose and treat illness. Nuclear Medicine also provides personalized treatments and therapy.

PA College offers two options for nuclear medicine technology: a two-year associate degree or a 12-month academic certificate for those who have already completed college-level coursework. PA College offers the only associate degree in nuclear medicine technology in Central Pennsylvania. In this program, you’ll learn in a variety of clinical settings alongside experienced professionals.

Graduate achievement data is an indicator of program effectiveness, demonstrating the extent to which a program achieves its goals. The current report on graduate achievement data is available on the JRCNMT website by clicking on the following link: Graduate Achievement Report.
